Our Story
Girl, Live! Inc. was founded in 2022 by Pastor Vioree Brandon-Nettlesford with a simple yet extraordinary vision: to create a place where women could encounter healing, discover purpose, and experience authentic community.
What began as a single brunch serving women from a local homeless shelter quickly became something much greater. As women gathered around tables of encouragement, prayer, and hope, it became evident that the need extended far beyond one event. Women were searching for community, leadership, mentorship, healing, and opportunities to grow. Girl, Live! Inc. answered that call.
Today, Girl, Live! Inc. is a faith-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through leadership development, mentorship, education, and community engagement. While our signature Girl, Live! Experience Global Gathering now welcomes women from across the United States and around the world, our deepest commitment remains rooted in serving women throughout Prince George's County, the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area (DMV), and beyond.

G.R.O.W. Academy equips emerging and established leaders through executive leadership development, professional coaching, mentorship, and practical training. By investing in leadership excellence, we prepare women to lead confidently in business, ministry, government, nonprofit organizations, and their communities.
Girl, Live! Community serves as the heartbeat of our organization—a welcoming space where women can engage in authentic conversations, build meaningful relationships, strengthen their faith, and receive encouragement through weekly Purpose Study, prayer, leadership discussions, and personal development experiences. Here, women are reminded they are not alone; they are part of a community committed to healing, accountability, growth, and purpose.
Our annual Girl, Live! Experience Global Gathering brings together women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and professions for a transformational leadership conference centered on healing, faith, personal growth, and purpose. More than a conference, it is a movement that equips women to return to their communities empowered to lead, serve, and create lasting change.
Beyond our leadership initiatives, Girl, Live! Inc. believes service is one of the greatest expressions of leadership.
Through our annual Beauty Bag Drive, we provide hygiene and self-care essentials to women experiencing hardship, restoring dignity while meeting practical needs. Our longstanding partnership with House of Ruth Maryland reflects our commitment to walking alongside women as they rebuild their lives with hope and confidence.
Each year, we also host the Girl, Live! Mother's Day Brunch, a signature celebration honoring the strength, sacrifice, and influence of women from every walk of life. We recognize mothers, widows, single mothers, spiritual mothers, grandmothers, and seasoned women whose wisdom, resilience, and love continue to shape future generations. This celebration affirms that every woman's story matters and every season of life deserves to be honored.
Our vision extends beyond the United States. Girl, Live! Inc. has invested in educational opportunities for children in India, demonstrating our belief that empowering communities is a global responsibility. Whether serving women in Maryland or supporting children across the world, we remain committed to creating opportunities that inspire hope, strengthen leadership, and transform lives.
